Journal History

Lithics is the Lithic Studies Society's annual, peer-reviewed journal. It is devoted
to publishing research which enhances our understanding of past societies through
the study of stone tools. Published in the spring of each year, Lithics contains
research articles, as well as shorter communications, book reviews, a bibliography
of recent publications relevant to lithic studies, and news of the Society's related activities.

It is circulated free of charge to all members of the Society. Communications concerning
papers, letters, notes and reviews should be sent to the Editor/Book Review Editor,
Frederick Foulds and Peter Hoare electronically at The Committee
welcomes contributions, including suggestions for reviews, from any member of the
Society. Submissions should be made solely by electronic copy—see here for details.
